Rossen Tsvetanov, Environment Art Director

The environment art in a game should tell a story. It’s more than good composition, colours, and dynamic contrasts. It should transfer the big picture - what is this place and what has happened there.

Rossen has been in the video games industry since 2006, in positions ranging from Junior artist to an Art Director. This helped him to be well aware of the specifics and the workflow for every role, to direct the art and create the proper pipeline for it.

Initially Rossen started his career in the cinema industry. It happened “thanks” to a serious accident with a mountain bike - while recovering he created his first 2D animation. Then he moved to the game industry, following his passion for games. He has shipped projects like Assassin's Creed and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 prior to his start in Snapshot Games where he’s currently  Environment Art Director and takes care of a talented team of Environment Artists and Level Designers.

An interesting fact about Rossen is that he has conducted hundreds of  job interviews, but never had the opportunity to take a job interview himself - all the job offers were based on his portfolio, course performance, etc.
